Tim Nicol

Tim Nicol leads Pew’s program work across Australia. Working with individual campaign managers, Nicol oversees Pew’s marine conservation, Indigenous land management, rivers and protected area conservation campaigns.

Before joining Pew, Nicol was the coordinator and media spokesman for the Save Our Marine Life alliance, which helped establish the country’s first network of marine parks and sanctuaries. Previously, he was the resources liaison officer for the Conservation Council of Western Australia. He began his career as an ocean engineer working in offshore construction and design.

Nicol holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the Australian Maritime College and lives in Perth.
