Science is the basis of Pew’s conservation work. The conservation science team’s experts strengthen the evidence base for the organization’s environmental portfolio by offering technical knowledge, managing research projects, and disseminating scientific results. These efforts guide Pew’s strategic decisions, inform conservation policy, and promote the sustainable management of global natural resources.
The conservation support team provides expertise and support to Pew’s environmental projects in areas such as conservation finance, climate policy, biodiversity conservation, marine conservation, multilateral negotiations, advocacy, and more. This team also coordinates Pew’s engagement in international meetings, including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the United Nations General Assembly, and the Convention on Biological Diversity.
