New Philadelphia Mural Is Love Letter to City, Democracy

We connected with Mural Arts Philadelphia and artist Calo Rosa about his mural, "One City, A United City, With Love," near Philly's 30th Street Station. The vast new artwork commemorates America’s 250th anniversary, the city’s history, and the people who shape its future.
Pew is pleased to support Rosa's mural through a grant to the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and a grant to the Philadelphia Funder Collaborative for the Semiquincentennial. The artwork is part of the "Gateways to Philadelphia" program, implemented by the city's Office of Clean and Green Initiatives.
