Winnie Roberts
Guinnevere (Winnie) Roberts directs Pew’s conservation support and conservation science teams, working to advance evidence-based policies that support healthy, resilient communities and ecosystems around the world. She also oversees Pew’s conservation work in Australia and efforts to reduce Americans’ exposure to endocrine-disrupting chemicals.
Before joining Pew, Roberts was director of multilateral affairs for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, worked with the U.S. Agency for International Development on combating tuberculosis, and represented the United States in a range of organizations, including the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, UNESCO, and the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime. She also worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Roberts holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Yale University and a doctorate in zoology and ecology, evolution, and conservation biology from the University of Hawaii.
