The Pew Chartiable Trusts

The Pew Charitable Trusts created the Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences in 1985 to support young, promising scientists who were tackling cutting-edge questions in health and medicine. Since then, Pew’s work has expanded to include three programs and an Innovation Fund, along with a global network of scientists pursuing groundbreaking biomedical research.

Today, more than 1,000 scholars and fellows are uncovering fundamental knowledge about basic scientific principles, engineering new medications and treatments for complex ailments, and finding ways to innovate and inspire.

To mark this milestone, Pew is celebrating the people and research that make up our biomedical community. Learn more about the biomedical programs and their impact here
