Aleena Oberthur
Aleena Oberthur is a project director with Pew’s state fiscal policy project. She oversees research related to critical state policy issues including long-term liabilities, public sector retirement system design and funding, and investments in and management of state and local infrastructure. Previously, Oberthur worked for Pew’s election initiatives team, contributing to 50-state research on state election performance.
Before joining Pew, Oberthur worked at a series of nonprofit groups, including NARAL Pro-Choice California.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in women and gender studies from Macalester College and a master’s in public policy from Duke University.
