Regan Fitzgerald
Regan Fitzgerald manages outreach and advocacy for Pew’s quality skills and education pathways project. The project assists states in building data collection capabilities for short-term nondegree credentials and identifying quality standards, as well as examining how students pay for these programs. She previously worked in Pew’s government relations department and on the student loan initiative, which sought to improve the student loan repayment system for borrowers at risk of delinquency and default.
Before joining Pew, Fitzgerald was director of government relations for Adams and Associates, which provides youth workforce training through the U.S. Department of Labor’s Job Corps program. In the course of that work, she helped to spearhead an innovation pilot center, creating partnerships among local, state, and federal education and workforce entities. Fitzgerald also worked in the U.S. Senate as a legislative counsel, a legislative associate, and a fellow, focusing on education, labor, and workforce development.
Fitzgerald holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Bryn Mawr College and a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law.
