Sheanna Gomes
Sheanna Gomes is a manager with Pew’s state fiscal policy project. She researches and analyzes state fiscal policy—including those related to long-term budgeting, budget stress testing, and rainy day funds—and provides policymakers with informed analyses and guidance on best practices. She also supports Pew’s other projects that examine state fiscal data and trends.
Before joining Pew, Gomes analyzed budgets and policies for the state of Virginia in its Department of Planning and Budget, House of Delegates, and governor's office. Prior to that, she provided research support at Old Dominion University.
Gomes holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s in public administration from Old Dominion University.
