Elaine Bowman is the senior vice president, people and workplace, at The Pew Charitable Trusts. She leads the organization’s people strategy and global workplace portfolio—aligning talent, culture, and physical environments to maximize program impact, fiscal stewardship, and staff experience. Overseeing the human resources and workplace services departments, Bowman leads efforts to develop, implement, and maintain best practices in talent acquisition, staff development and engagement, and Pew’s global workplace portfolio.

Before joining Pew in 2015, Bowman served as vice president of human resources at World Wildlife Fund. She also held leadership roles with The St. Paul Companies and performed management consulting with Arthur Andersen.

Bowman holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Maryland and a master’s in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Akron.
