Organization Institute on Social Exclusion at the Adler School of Professional Psychology

The Institute on Social Exclusion at the Adler School of Professional Psychology conducted a mental health impact assessment to consider potential effects of proposed amendments to Chicago’s Vacant Buildings Ordinance. The amendments would extend responsibility for registering vacant buildings to include mortgage holders, in addition to owners; institute a registration fee; and impose daily fines for infractions. The project focused on the likely impact on residents of the Englewood neighborhood.
