Biomedical Scholars Pursue Scientific Innovation Advancement in Human Health

To advance discovery in human health, the Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences sparks innovation by providing support to some of the most promising young scientists. The program encourages early-career researchers to take calculated risks, which can lead to important medical breakthroughs. Pew is proud to introduce its 2011 class. These 22 new scholars will join a select community that includes MacArthur Fellows, recipients of the Albert Lasker Medical Research Award and three Nobel Prize winners.
