Research

My laboratory is taking a biochemical approach to 4 problems in nucleic acid metabolism:

(i) the coordination of eukaryotic mRNA synthesis and processing,

(ii) the structure and function of eukaryotic type I DNA topoisomerases,

(iii) DNA damage recognition and repair by DNA ligases, and

(iv) mechanisms and biological roles of RNA repair enzymes.
