John C. Avise, Ph.D.

Research

John Avise is a geneticist focused on the natural histories and evolution of wildlife. Avise used his Pew fellowship to produce several textbooks and trade books that address the interface of molecular biology, population biology, and conservation genetics. Together, these serve as educational tools for biological resource managers and for students in marine conservation biology.
