Research

We are investigating the regulation of chromosome and nuclear organization and function in higher eukaryotes, using molecular, cell biological, biochemical, and genetic approaches. Our primary experimental systems are drosophila, and cell cultures derived from this organism. We are also interested in determining if our discoveries apply to human biology, and to disorders related to chromosome dysfunction, such as cancer and birth defects.
