The Bipartisan Effort to Fix Our Parks
Each year, millions of people visit the National Mall.
As recently as 2020, the National Mall’s Tidal Basin was in need of repairs and sinking in certain sections due to sea-level rise and aging infrastructure.
The Legacy Restoration Fund in the bipartisan Great American Outdoors Act of 2020 helped address a significant portion of the Tidal Basin’s repair needs, ensuring that everyone could safely enjoy “America’s Front Yard” for years to come.
